Qualicum Beach is a quaint and unique coastal community that offers natural recreation, an enjoyable and relaxed lifestyle, a temperate climate and a supportive community. The community is environmentally conscious and recognizes the importance of controlled development/management and a diversifed population base.
We boast safe, sandy beaches. With the exception of a slight detour at the mouth of the Englishman River and at French Creek, you can walk on unobstructed sandy beaches from Nanoose Bay to Little Qualicum. Within our area, there are six provincial parks which provide canoeing, caving, hiking, swimming, fishing and beautiful natural attractions. Qualicum Beach has a very active volunteer community. Many of the leisure services offered in Qualicum Beach take place in local communities and are run by volunteers. The resulting recreation programs are therefore specific to residents and their area. Qualicum Beach, as a whole, also benefits as the leisure services create an enhanced community spirit and pride. |
