British Columbia Ferry Services Inc., or BC Ferries, began in 1960 as a two vessel, two terminal operation. It has grown into one of the largest, most sophisticated ferry transportation systems in the world. There are several ferry services near to Qualicum Beach. The two services most frequently used by visitors to Qualicum Beach berth at Departure Bay and Duke Point.
