Water and Sewer Rates
The Town of Qualicum Beach provides water and sanitary sewer services on a consumption based billing system. The charges for the use of these services are calculated on a monthly basis and invoices are issued twice a year (middle of May and end of September). In accordance with the consumption based system, Council has adopted the following water and sanitary sewer rates.
Garbage, Recycling, & Composting Pickup
The Town provides curb-side pickup for approximately 4,100 residential customers and basic garbage pickup for 70 commercial bins. Once collected, the refuse is transported to the R.D.N. Transfer Station on Church Rd. in Parksville. Pickup for recycling and food waste is done by an independent contractor (BFI Waste Services). The recycling that is collected is taken to the Church Rd. transfer station and compostable material is taken to the Duke Point composting facility. The charges for the use of these services are calculated on a monthly basis and invoices are issued twice a year (middle of May and end of September). Council has adopted the following rates for the collection, removal, and disposal of garbage, food waste, and recyclable materials.
