On Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 3:00 pm swimmers of all ages will take part in the 56th Annual Qualicum Beach Ocean Mile Swim! Bring your friends and family to the waterfront at Qualicum Beach by the boat ramp and the "Beach Hut Restaurant & Concession" to watch or to participate!

Registration for the event is free and will open at 1:00 pm and finish at 2:45 pm. Presentation of the awards will start at approximately 4:30 pm depending on the swim time of the final swimmers. There will be thirteen classes for awards including:

• First Place Overall
• First Place District 69 Resident
• First Lady
• Most Senior Participant
• Youngest Participant
• First Place - Open Class
• First Place - 13 Years & Under
• First Place - 14 to 18 Years
• First Place - 19 to 25 Years
• First Place - 26 to 35 Years
• First Place - 36 to 49 Years
• First Place - 50 to 64 Years
• First Place - 65 Years & Over
