This national not-for-profit program judges participating communities
on the appearance of parks, open spaces, streets, trees and floral displays, the
diversity and originality of landscaping, general tidiness, environmental awareness,
heritage conservation, and the level of private as well as public involvement
in beautification. Provincial and national champions are selected from municipal
finalists categorized by size of community.
