| This rare property is situated
on the Strait of Georgia. The 4-hectare (10 acre) mature garden and character
home is surrounded by 24-hectares (60 acres) of coastal Douglas fir forest. The
site was acquired by Malaspina-University College from the late Veronica Milner
in 1996.
Raised in the British aristocracy, Veronica Milner's mother was a cousin
of Winston Churchill. Prince Charles and Princess Diana visited
in 1986 and Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip stayed for three
days in 1987.
Step back in time and discover
the unspoiled natural beauty and the unique heritage home found
within the property. You will also experience the artist's garden
surrounding the home and enjoy spectacular tree-framed views
of the Georgia Strait with the Coast Mountains in the distance.
Milner Gardens and Woodland
is a non-profit horticultural society established to maintain
and restore the gardens and buildings. Under the supervision
of the horticulture staff, volunteers and students carry out
the primary maintenance of the gardens.
