The Qualicum Beach Official Community Plan (OCP) Review Steering Committee provides recommendations to Council on the process for engaging the community, consultation planning and evaluation of consultation effectiveness for the OCP review. The Committee also recommends on the scope of the Official Community Plan (OCP) review and other critical issues; the assumptions and values derived from consultations and incorporated in the draft policy documents and draft OCP; and other key decision points as referred to the Committee by Council or the Director of Planning.
The Committee is made up of a Councillor appointed with the primary interest of Community Development; the Director of Planning; and up to 7 community representatives.
Regular meetings of the Committee will be held in the Committee Room at Town Hall on the first and third Monday of each month.
