Select Committee on Environment & Sustainability

The Select Committee on Environment and Sustainability advises Council on matters relevant to the physical environment and sustainability of the Town of Qualicum Beach.

Matters for review and/or study will be referred to the Committee by Council on a case by case basis, and these may include:

• Environmental policies, environmental protection measures and plans, studies, and initiatives related to the environment
• Environmental concerns brought to Council by of the groups and/or citizens

The Committee is appointed by Council and composed of one member of Council, one youth member at large, and five members of the public who serve as members at large.

Meetings of the Committee will be held on the 1st Wednesday of January, May and September, at 3:00 pm, as required.
