Public consultation is an integral part of the Town of Qualicum Beach’s Strategic and Financial Planning process and includes multiple opportunities for public participation.

Engagement Opportunities

To encourage community input, the following meetings are open to the public to provide input and ask questions. All meetings are held in the Council Chamber of Town Hall at 660 Primrose Street, and subject to change.

• October 21 - Committee of the Whole (Strategic Planning), 9 am
• November 1 - Committee of the Whole (Strategic Planning), 9 am
• November 13 (changed from Nov 6) - Committee of the Whole (Budget Planning), 10 am
• November 20 - Committee of the Whole (Budget Planning), 4 pm
• November 27 - Committee of the Whole (Budget Planning), 10 am

Council Adoption
Following public input, the Financial Bylaw will be given readings by Council to meet the relevant adoption deadline for submission to the Ministry. The following dates are subject to change.

• January 22, 2025 - Regular Council meeting (1st & 2nd Bylaw Reading)
• February 26, 2025 - Special Council meeting (3rd Bylaw Reading)
• March 12, 2025 - Regular Council meeting (Bylaw Adoption)

Ways to Engage in the Financial Planning Process

• Ask questions and provide input at the Committee of the Whole meetings.

  Comments to be considered by Council at the meetings should be received by noon on the day before the Committee of the Whole meeting.
