The Qualicum Beach Official Community Plan (OCP) Review Steering Committee provides recommendations to Council on the process for engaging the community, consultation planning and evaluation of consultation effectiveness for the OCP review.
The Committee also makes recommendations on:
The scope of the OCP review and other critical issues.
The assumptions and values derived from consultations, incorporated in the draft policy documents and draft OCP.
Other key decision points as referred to the Committee by Council or the Director of Planning.
The Committee is made up of up to seven community representatives. Non-voting members include the Director of Planning, and one Councillor appointed with the primary interest of Community Development.
