Public Notices
For applications involving a Development Variance Permit, the Town invites written submissions from the public. This input is directed to Council for consideration when reviewing the proposed variance.
Public Hearings
Public Hearings are held for applications that require an amendment to the Official Community Plan (OCP) or a zoning change that Council deems to not align with the current OCP. These hearings provide an opportunity for both written and verbal input from the public. In accordance with legislation, notices of Public Hearings are published in the local newspaper to ensure community awareness and participation.
All applications requiring public input are made available for review to ensure transparency and allow residents sufficient time to provide informed feedback. These applications can be inspected online, or at Town Hall, at least 10 days prior to the scheduled Council meeting.
