Every year, the Town of Qualicum Beach honours its volunteers by inviting the community to nominate a noteworthy volunteer for the Above & Beyond Award. The award is presented at the Town’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Reception.

Nominate a Volunteer
Anyone actively engaged in volunteer activities that benefit the community of Qualicum Beach for at least a year is eligible for a nomination.
To nominate someone, complete an application form and submit it to the Town.
Applications can be submitted by one of the following methods:

Town Hall hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Volunteer Appreciation Event
The annual Volunteer Appreciation Event is a time for Council to recognize the time and effort contributed to the Town by volunteers, including:
- Volunteers appointed by Council resolution to the Town’s Committees, Commissions and Boards.
- Volunteers nominated by a special event group, volunteer organization or non-profit association to represent their group.
- Volunteers who Council recognize as having made a significant contribution to the community during the past year.
The volunteer groups and Committee members honoured each year are listed on the Volunteer Appreciation Recipients Award. This award hangs in the Town Hall foyer, along with the Above & Beyond Volunteer Award plaque.
