Qualicum First Nation

Qualicum Beach is within the traditional territory of the Qualicum First Nation.

The Town is proud to partner with the Qualicum First Nation in representing a community that respects its past and fosters its future.

The Town has an excellent relationship with the Qualicum First Nation, shared through a Memorandum of Understanding. The Mayor and Chief meet monthly to discuss any upcoming matters and keep connected in pursuit of community well-being.

Qualicum First Nation provides a wonderful camping experience, including basic camping as well as serviced and non-serviced waterfront and off-water recreational vehicle sites.

Only a 14-minute drive out from Qualicum Beach, located on the north side of the Big Qualicum River and backing onto the Strait of Georgia, the Qualicum First Nation Waterfront Campground is a popular vacation getaway.
