A Development Variance Permit is issued by Council and may approves variations of bylaws such as zoning bylaws, subdivision and development bylaws and sign bylaws.
Requested variances may include:
- Siting requirements such as setbacks from property lines
- Building height
- Subdivision regulations, such as minimum lot size or dimensions
- Servicing standards
- Sign regulations
Use and/or density specifications cannot be varied. Please note that a permit application is not the same as a Board of Variance Application.
Applications and payment must be submitted together, by one of the following methods:
