This project will help Qualicum Beach achieve its sustainability goals by first reviewing the current local economy by looking at business strengths, opportunities, and challenges. Then, using these insights, a practical plan will be created to guide economic growth that also supports environmental and social priorities. The aim is to turn the Town’s sustainability goals into real, workable steps.

  • Mar 2025 – Tender Awarded
  • Apr 2025 – Project Commence
  • Feb 2026 – Project Complete

The Town will partner with the Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce and Parksville Qualicum Tourism Association.

Parksville Qualicum Tourism Association will help identify and access existing resources and partnerships within the tourism industry to ensure that this proposed project is complementary to, and not a repeat, of any work that is underway or already completed.

The QB Chamber of Commerce will help the Town engage with local businesses, community members, and potential investors to ensure that the economic development strategy is community-centered.

The Town gratefully acknowledges the Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure program for funding the Town $100,00 under its Economic Diversification/Economic Development umberella.

The project was awarded to Nordicity in the amount of $112,470, as detailed in the March 12, 2025 Planning report to Council.
