The Town of Qualicum Beach offers a prepayment plan to allow taxpayers to contribute a fixed monthly payment towards their estimated net property taxes for the following year.

Property Tax Prepayment Plan Eligibility
To participate in the Property Tax Prepayment Plan for the upcoming year, property taxes for the current year must be paid in full and Home Owner Grant (if eligible) claimed by July 2 of the current year.

How Is My Prepayment Account Calculated?
The maximum monthly prepayment is equivalent to the prior year’s taxes (less any Home Owner Grant claim), divided by the number of months remaining until May of the targeted tax year.
For example, if you started your prepayment in July, and your gross property taxes were $2,300 and you claimed a $770 Home Owner Grant, your monthly prepayment would be $139 ([$2,300 – $770] / 11). If applying later in the year, the monthly calculated amount would increase.
You may also select any amount below the maximum monthly amount to pay towards your annual property tax bill.
