Streetlights in Qualicum Beach improve the safety of our roadways, especially pedestrian safety. They provide drivers with better visibility by extending their range of sight and adding peripheral light where headlights fall short. Proven to reduce collisions and accidents at night, streetlights contribute significantly to keeping our community safe.

There are two types of streetlights in Qualicum Beach: metal poles which are owned and maintained by the Town, and wooden poles which are owned and maintained by BC Hydro.
All requests for streetlight maintenance should be directed through the Town regardless of pole type.
