Following the purchase of the Eaglecrest Golf Course Lands, the Town is committed to preserving a nine-hole golf course and bringing the course, facilities, and equipment to a suitable operational standard.

This project aims to deliver course modifications to improve golfer and neighbour safety, course playability, and operational resilience. Works include:

  • Re‑establishing hole three as a par three with bunker adjustments
  • Constructing a new hole eight (long‑term par four with an interim par three operation, if required for safety)
  • Reshaping hole nine
  • Adding new tee complexes on holes five, seven, eight, and nine
  • Irrigation modifications to suit the new and re‑established holes
  • Edge‑of‑course safety enhancements (hedging, fencing, tree planting, and targeted tree removals) to reduce risk to adjacent residences and players while shaping preferred lines of play

The selection process for a golf course operator is underway, with the Town seeking the best long-term fit (view the Request for Proposals).
